If you want to create and print W-2 forms using the employee information stored in QuickBooks Online, you can order QuickBooks compatible W-2s directly from Intuit.
These W-2 forms are compatible with:
- QuickBooks Online
- QuickBooks Online Payroll
- QuickBooks Desktop Basic, Enhanced, and Assisted
- Payroll
- QuickBooks for Mac
Order W-2 kits online or by phone (866) 570-3842. If you order by phone, mention which QuickBooks product you plan to use with these forms (such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Payroll, etc.).
You can print these W-2 kits on both laser and inkjet printers. Remember, if you print W-2s on your own, you’re responsible for filing them with the IRS and sending copies to your employees.
Do I need to file a W-2? #
The W-2 form reports employee’s wage and salary information to the IRS. Generally, employers must complete and file a W-2 for each employee they pay a salary, wage, or other compensation to as part of their employment relationship.
