User access in the Sales Tax Center varies depending on the scope of the user’s role in QuickBooks Online.

Access and Restrictions for Customer and Sales Users #

Customer and sales users can: #

  • Access the Taxes page.
  • Add tax agencies and rates.
  • Edit, deactivate, and rename tax agencies.
  • View the following reports: the tax liability report and the transaction report.

Customer and sales users can’t: #

  • Record tax payments

Vendors and purchase users can: #

  • Access the Taxes page.
  • View the following reports: the tax liability report and the transaction report.
  • Add tax agencies and rates.

Vendors and purchase users can’t: #

  • Edit, deactivate, and rename tax agencies

How do I change my access to the Sales Tax Center? #
