Network System Admin
As a Network Field Service Admin, you will be part of the Network Services team representing the IT infrastructure services supporting mission critical systems. Network System Administrator position provides support for data field site LANs, WAN connection installations and post install troubleshooting. This may include application performance troubleshooting as well. This individual is responsible for delivery of new functionality, day-to-day operations, and participating in break/fix activities.

Job Duties Include

  • Monitor the day-to-day operations of the data network within his/her defined scope
  • Provide technical assistance and resolution for network problems
  • Participate in voice and data network installation repair and upgrades
  • Work with other infrastructure groups and end-users to identify and troubleshoot performance issues in an enterprise environment
  • Monitor the installation, maintenance, and monitoring systems of the Clients’ network

    Associate degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred
  • Advanced certifications for equipment supported knowledge
    Plan, implement, and/or engineer network solutions based on Cisco/Meraki equipment with intermediate complexity
  • ITIL methodology
  • Demonstrates comprehensive working knowledge of a technical or specialty area, and of operations, methods, and practices

Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in a complex multi-vendor network using technologies as TCP/IP, static routing, Layer 2/3 Switching/Routing on Meraki (layer 2/3 and wireless hardware), Cisco 4xxx, 3xxx, 2xxx platforms and hierarchical network topology
  • Can plan, implement, and/or engineer network solutions based upon Cisco/Meraki equipment with intermediate complexity
  • Able to create comprehensive documentation using Visio and related tools
  • Voice experience with Cisco Call Manager Working Relationships
    Can work alone, without close supervision, although he or she will be part of a team
  • Able to work frequent evenings and weekends
  • Self-starter, initiator
  • Strong team player that must have the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team environment and adhere to existing processes and procedures
  • Reliable with a positive mental attitude and professional appearance
